Classic Impreza ****NOW SOLD****

************NOW SOLD***********

The time has come to part company with a very close friend after six years Presently, on Steve Simpson map it's running 420/400 on straight Tesco 99 or 470/450 with +10% methanol on switchable map. The short engine is the same spec as Duncan's and uses STi3 heads and cams. A bigger turbo and re-map would see 500+ but then I'd be chasing 600. :wack:

Nothing will be removed until the engine and possibly gearbox have a large deposit on them (within reasonable time). It would be stupid to immobilise the thing for a

Can't believe you are doing this Gerry after it went so well on the track night.

I am sure you have your reasons though. Perhaps this is just a moment of madness due to the heat and you will change your mind.

Good luck anyway.

The car's going well and out performed me at Goodwood.

It's reached a point where it ought to go onto a trailer. That would mean having to get some 4 x 4 thing just to pull it about.

It's just dawned on me that this thing has consumed immesurable time and money over the 6 years I've had it and it's time to call a halt. It'll stay in one piece so that potential engine purchasers can experience the kick in the ar$e that this thing delivers.

MOT, insurance and tax were all renewed last week as it really is the 6th anniversary of our love-hate relationship.

It will also fund the next, much cheaper toy. Not a BMW btw

Forgot to put the set of Dunlop wets on STi wheels too.

Great shame, I've seen this car develop over the years and I've always had a bit of a soft spot for it.

Would you consider offers for it complete Gerry?

Cheers

Hi Andy, nice to see you're still about :)

Having seen threads where people have tried to sell their money pit, as a complete car and then ended up breaking anyway, it I thought it better to just go straight to breaking. If you'd like to make a sensible offer, I'm all ears.

There's a spare shell I'll chuck in as well
