Testing The Water : 500+Bhp Scooby For Sale

Post by MichaelH »

Well I've just found out that my scoob is not going to be ready for Scooby Shootout, and this is one disappointment too far for me I'm afraid. So I am now testing the waters for a sale. Currently the engine is in Surrey being worked on by SMG, once back at Scooby Clinic new forged pistons will be going in.

Summary - MY02 Sti Prodrive Style. No expense spared in maintaining and upgrading this car. All money has been spent on performance not 'bling' or ICE.

When running this car has nothing short of awesome performance, putting out 541bhp and 575lb/ft (flywheel figures) with a lot more potential. A top of the range Wizard Of NOS system with electronic progressive controller is installed which is currently running only a 50hp shot, it is capable of running up to 150hp.

The engine is a 2.3 closed deck block so lots of strength and very revvy.

The current turbo is a direct bolt on hybrid and makes 500bhp & 500lb/ft without the NOS, spool up for the power output is surprisngly early on. I will be posting up more info and pics this evening. In the meanwhile, there are some snaps in my garage.

At an Elvington RWYB event this car achieved a best of 12.03 & 118mph running with several items in the boot (including tools and spare wheel etc), full spec and too much fuel! Due to some squatting at launch the car is having some coilovers installed as well as a GT Spec Anti Lift kit . It is also having some excess weight removed, but the aim is to retain the 'sleeper' or 'street' style of the vehicle. This car with a little work has a genuine chance at 10 second quarters.

Full details of spec (and it is a very comprehensive spec) and asking price on request only in an attempt to put off test pilots :)

Cheers,

Michael.
