Well time has come, and I have made the decision to sell my bit of weekend fun!!

Due to work commitments and having started a family I have decided to put the Golf up for sale. Have owned it for the past 6 1/2 years, and is now in full trackday trim.

1800cc 8 valve
Engine Modified by Scole Engineering
Piper cam
Ajustable pulley
4 branch manifold
Ashley exhaust
Modified air intake
Front/rear strut brace
Full FIA cage
Perspex windows
Cobra evolution seat
Sparco harness
Brembo front brakes
2 Sets of wheels and tyres
Small dashboard
Snap off steering wheel

Have done about 20 trackdays with the car, and the only mechanical breakdown was the clutch and gearbox, which has since been changed. There is also a twin axle trailer to go with the car, which isn't the best, but gets me by.

Some of you may know that I do drive quite hard :x but the car seems bulletproof.

Bad points:

Being a 21 year old car the car isn't in showroom condition. Saying that, its never been welded, and soild underneath.
There is a crack in the windscreen
Slight blow from the exhaust
Dicky starter motor

I done the trackday at Marham 2 weeks ago and the car ran strong, no problems. The car can hold its own against other fast cars, which surprises other drivers. So grab yourself a true and proven trackday toy.

That looks awesome Steve. I'll be amazed if someone off here doesn't buy it for a bit of fun. Good luck with the sale.

Two things which may aid your sale/aid your audience

- What is the situation regarding getting this road legal? Do you still have the V5, is there any tax or MOT etc

- What suspension are you using? Coilovers, top adjustables, lowered springs????

I would have thought the MOT tester would spot the filter comming out of the headlight Stu!
On a serious note its a shame to see you selling it Steve. Its a cracking little car and I hope the new owner can pedal it as well as you did.

Suspension is abit of mix and match. Front are Raceland with a 40mm drop.
Rear are standard shocks and about a 60mm drop.

As for getting roadlegal, well spotted Pike :-D . It was last MOTed about 4 years ago, and needed handbrake adjustment, ball joint and driveshaft gaiter. It would need a little TLC to get back onto the road. As I have a trailer, getting it road legal was never an issue.

I have the V5, and at the moment the vehicle is SORN.

Due to going to the virgin trackday, and having a passanger ride, I feel the time is not right to sell the car

I've had a couple of people interested and viewed the car, but i've come to the decision to keep it!!!! I'm booked in for the sprint night at Snetterton and trackday at Marham.
