Just phone the seller and ask them to pop outside and lift the bonnet up for 5 minutes.....by the time you get there the wind would have blown all the dust off and the rain storm would have rinsed it all down

granted you'll probably need a ladder to go and retrieve the bonnet (and/or seller) from up in the tree but hey ho.....
[img] Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you rather be stranded with....Ray Mears or Bear Grylls?

A. No question....Ray Mears....you could make a shit load more stew out of that tubby little fecker [/img]

I'm more concerned about just being able to reach the bonnet if opened.

Bart would just stay on the train:rofl:

Well...I went to look at it today.

Good bits
Service history upto 129,000
All previous mot certificates
Tax and test till march 2014
Plenty of tread on all tyres

Bad bits
2 tyres almost flat
Drivers door does not open with key or central locking
Electric drivers window not working
Stinks
Drivers elec seat not working properly
After driving it for 5mins my hands were black and sticky from steering wheel and gear shift
Engine management light on
Felt sluggish (But it did sound nice)
Heavy condensation on inside of windscreen

All in all it made the frontera look and feel like a much newer car.

That just left me with a 5 mile walk back to the train station in the pissing rain and as if that wasn't bad enough some sad, no life wanker in an effing pisscaso thought it funny to drive trough a puddle and soak me from chest down. Spent the last 4 hrs in soaked jeans, socks and trainers.

This is the car i went to see and even after he had dropped the price by

Oh....................that one! Following your post, it rekindled fond (rose tinted?) feelings towards my old one.......
It sounds as if it's got seriously damp in there and the damp could well have caused the stink and the electrics issues. With

There was a dark patch on the side of the transmission tunnel in the drivers footwell that Alan spotted in one of the pics as a possible sign of a leaking heater matrix.

The panel on the side of the drivers seat was hanging off.

You could see the electric wires for the wing mirror hanging out under the glass.

The frontera gets condensation on the windscreen due to the sunroof leaking but nothing like what this had.

No idea if it was in gas mode or petrol but felt worse than than fronty.
