Cheers guys

I had a look on the Parkers guide today to see if it would be worth trading in. I really don't think so at

Tony

A word of advice mate as soon as solicitors get involved they will be the only ones with any money........unfortunatley it will be all your money......

If the missus isn't coming back at least try a mediation lawyer first your only paying once then !

I feel for you mate....

Wrong, the V5 shows the registered keeper only, it's not a title of ownership.
I'd agree with the sentiments here Tony, it stinks when things go wrong and I feel for you.
I used the mediation service, they are qualified in law and would save you a fortune. When I went, it did nt even need both parties to make every meeting.
I can't recommend them enough as lawyers cost a bloody fortune.
If you own the Fiesta, you own the Fiesta. If she does not have your explicit consent to drive it she commits taking without consent and can be nicked. Additionally, if she keeps it dishonestly with intention of you never getting it back, or sells it to prevent you having it, she commits theft. Change the insurance and tell her you want it back as the owner.
That's my 2p worth.

I will say, even though it was expensive, my life is sooo much better now after being 'left'.

These things seem bad at the time, but then you realise there is much more to life chap.

I've been told it's a bit of a grey area as I've got a receipt from when I bought it and it's also in my name but she has always insured it. The police officer I spoke to on the phone said there's nothing she could do if I went round and took it with a spare key but the crafty cow took it with her.
I'll look into the mediation services. I haven't got much money left for her to take with being off work for so long so it looks like the house will probably have to be sold :(
Need that big lottery win :biggrinjester:

It hurts at the minute because of my 7yr old son but to be honest I'm glad she's gone as we haven't been getting on for ages. Just have to wait and see what I'm left with after it's all sorted.

The Evo going might be a good thing as I might be able to do some track days if I've got a cheaper car.
