dont sell it

it would cost you much more to get something lesser up to the same fun factor.

With the greatest of respects Trev, I don't think four and a half thousand is enough. The only gains you make are in the running costs of a far slower car like a 306 gti6. To get one to a decent, not even comparable, specification you'll spend very similar money buying it. I accept that ongoing costs may be less but you have to remember that your performance advantage in the wet or damp will be huge over most two wheel drive cars.

We do tend to get a fair amount of rain mate ;)

If you just have itchy feet, fair enough. If you are doing it to save money, I would do your sums again as the amount of money saved over 12 months of driving just won't be that much.

Hope my comments don't put your nose out of joint. Ultimately, it has to be your choice.

i know i would not have the same performance as the sti but as long as im out there on track even if it is a lesser car then i'l be happy (i think  )
plan was buy a 306 gti6 ,rallye or even sxi strip the inside decent set of shocks maybe a few other things and away i go, there very cheap to buy now and have seen them as low as

Trev, I've just bought a MKII Gti for less than a 1000, I'm bargaining on the income from the sale of the parts I don't need i.e. interior and current wheels that I'll have it ready to race for next to nothing ... join the MKII posse :)

After riding out in the MKII's on sunday I realised what fun they are - yep they don't have mega power, but as a package they seem to be perfect, the gutter is I sold a MKII on the saturday for peanuts that would have been ideal after a little work ... you could get a nice mkII for

I put one one of my scoobs. It was a much stronger turbo than the TD06/06 job.
I'm pretty sure vf22 was fitted to v2 STi and 22B. The v3 Sti had a vf23 and v4 Sti had vf24

Anyway, it doesn't matter now as he's not selling :D

Were both right according to this. I would be 99.9% some 22b's came with the VF23.

Both being right has to be the best outcome of any disagreement :D :thumb:
