Cheers for the laptop Tony - gave it a quick test when I got back, all seems to be fine. I'm writing this on the laptop in fact

Have had a couple of problems with it booting again, taking the RAM out and putting it back in a couple of times seems to solve it and allow it to boot.

Any ideas?

Well the laptop performed just great. Bought a wireless keyboard and mouse for it, the Virgin man showed up and we were on line and surfing :D

Just need to figure how to swap the keyboard from US to UK. Can't remember how to do it.

Thanks George.

I did that but still no change. The problem is the @ key and " key are swapped. i.e. when you press @ you get " and vice versa. :?:

Is this only on the wireless keyboard? Or on the laptop keyboard also?

If just wireless, have you installed specific software/drivers for it? And if you did have you looked through any of its settings? What make/model?
