Gauging interest: 1996 Toyota MR2

Afternoon all, with the business work load increasing by the month I have little to no time to think let alone drive the old girl around.
So I'm now considering parting ways, but wanted to offer it up on here in case anyone wanted to buy it for a second run about motor.

As most will know, I bought this back in December 2013 after Stuart spotted it up for sale and I promptly scooped it up. I then invested over £600 in having the bodywork sorted out, this included:
Russ carrying out a really top notch service in replacing and protecting the drivers sill.
Smart ABC correcting the bodywork by removing pin dents and re-painting a lot of the shell.
And Stuart working his magic to bring the shine back to the bodywork.

(Thanks again to Russ and Stu) The car is virtually rust free and only has a few blemishes left on the body, which you really have to look at to spot them. But considering the cars age and that it's a UK chassis - It's in good condition. I replaced the driving lamp innards as the old ones were temperamental, along with all new high intensity daylight bulbs now make the front illumination super bright. I also modified the inside of the dial facia to throw out more even light so the dials can be seen very clearly at night. All electrics work, mirrors, windows, headlight adjust, cig lighter etc.

The T-bar roof doesn't leak! So you won't end up with water pissing on your head in the rain. The engine is rock solid as all Toyota units are, the suspension is all factory standard and rides/sits very well. Rolling on all standard staggered wheels with Falken tyres on the rear.

To show i know nothing about MR2`s (having only had one myself) I was under the impression that this was an import. Especially having had a good butchers underneath. It was far too clean and rot free to be a uk car!

For what it's worth keep it and lock it up somewhere dry for a few years. Will be worth a good sum in that condition surely.

Cheers Russ, it's a stark contrast to the blue one I had. The underside as you say is very clean for something that's a UK car!

Well it is sitting in the garage, since that's the only place it can go as the drive is in constant use and there's nowhere else to store it. We'll see how it goes this year, ideally at some point I'd still like to get an E93. But as I say, we'll see.
