Young car enthusiasts are being given the opportunity to test their driving skills at Norfolk’s premier race circuit on Sunday 4 July.
Police have teamed up with Snetterton Race Circuit and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service to host the free event for all young drivers across the county. The special guest of the day will be Norfolk Constabulary’s answer to the ‘Stig’ – the ‘Breckland Stag’.
There are many fun and safe driving activities for young drivers and passengers during the day as well as a range of car associated stalls. The Car Enthusiasts Day will also give young people an insight into the consequences of dangerous driving and the distractions on the road as part of an educational pitstop. Last year more than 200 cars turned up to the event at Snetterton Race Circuit. The day will start at 12noon where youngsters can check-in their cars at Snetterton Race Circuit and enjoy a day of rally events as well as a vehicle show and shine competition. The day’s finale will finish at approximately 5pm where drivers will be able to follow the circuit safety car around the track.
