Bruntingthorpe this weekend. This proving ground, this sanctuary for being very loud, very fast and very silly. No idea of the expected crowds, but safe to say that you won't find more VW Golfs in one place at one time, that's for sure.

Jamie from GBH, MikeB, Trev and myself are meeting up on the way, all on a quest for front wheel drive giggles. The quarter mile strip, hopefully the handling area too, will be our personal battle ground.

Grace (nearly said Betty then) is pretty much ready; paintwork is shiny, fluids are full and tyres are both round and black. With the new radiator fitted the cooling issues are far better. With a few tricks up my sleeve, I hope to keep Mr Mike and Mr Trev honest tomorrow. Gucci 14" steel rims have never looked so right on a car before.

Taking suncream, plenty of food and plenty of cash for the enormous auto jumble.

Last Sunday was the Lotus Festival, tomorrow Inters, Friday the Pod, next Sunday Snett..................where did it all go wrong? :D :smash: :cheers2:

Lets just say if it was shiney or carbon or a flocked material trev was after it.

Was a excellent day early start great company thanks to trev, stu, and jamie and a good show just to many ideas and mods to take in.

And as this was the first major run for the golf a bit nerves watching the temp gauge

but no probs with the old girl.

all the best mike
