Lotus- factory tour

Post by Stuart »

There is a slim chance I may be able to arrange a guided factory tour at the Lotus factory near Norwich. I cannot confirm any details of the tour, no prices, no dates or times................nadaa

Just a general level of interest at this stage will be great thanks :)

I done some work over there a few year back and went through several areas from development they where doing the VX220 at the time and had not been released when i see it and also went through the section where they bench test the engines. Also got to see where they form all the panels basically went round most the factory was an interesting experience worth a look for anyone who has not been round there :-D

I'd probably be interested in this. I went round in the late 70's when Colin Chapman was around. They had an open day
which was I think to promote the Esprit. The James Bond 'Spy Who Loved Me' esprit was there along with the Formula One
JPS racing cars, and loads of other Lotus models. I did have an Elite in 1986, but it was the biggest bag of **** I've ever
owned. As they used to say LOTUS stood for Loads Of Trouble Usually Serious.
