What about an alternative toys night.

Some of you guys have RC cars, i have a mini moto and Jason must have a fast lawnmower!

It seems we can have use of the skid pan area fairly easily. I would suggest a drift night, but i seem to remember someone put pay to that idea after they tried to take out the perimeter fence last time (no naming lol)

Also, after the last autotest a few of us discussed getting an old banger between us for an autotest and we all drive the same car against the clock. We can get a suitable car for next to nothing (

Any idea how much it would cost to hire a couple of go-karts?

We could race around the skid pan in a knockout style competition.

Or...

for those of you with tow bars, a trailer towing, negotiating, reversing type test. points deducted for hitting cones, etc...

Simple Gerry, we give you the last runs lol.

Seriously though, we should be able to get something reliable enough for not much money.

There are lost of perfectly good government scappage scheme cars at dealerships at the moment. Perhaps we could hijack one on its way to the crusher. We know someone in the trade who may be able to help us with this.

Like the go cart idea. Perhaps one of the go cart centres would bring along a few carts for the evening for us to play with for not too much money.

We've got stacks of them at our place, but we're not allowed to touch them (a fairly mint Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo went to the crusher with a decent engine/box, 4 good alloys and the 4-pot Brembo's on the front which I begged to steal, but couldn't :().

I keep telling them it'll be fun to have a destruction derby/ Top Gear football session (they're going to be crushed anyway), but apparently they have to be driveable. Spoilsports

Very true. Provided they can get onto the transporter then a OK. So far have got rid of a Mondeo with a blown clutch, a Volvo estate with a gearbox locked solid and Vectra which has no brakes. Should have seen us using an old Escort to push the mondeo onto the transporter. Funny as....

All depends on the company taking the cars away. AutoGreen don't give a fudge and will push/pull/mayhem the cars onto the transports as required.

As for the Fiat Coupe... if it had wheels (not alloys) and brakes calipers (not Brembos) then the collection drivers don't know/care about the specs. As for the engine and gearbox... I'm guessing they'd want that bit. Could always have said the battery was flat and need to be pushed onto the lorry.

I think Eddy should volunteer that Metro for the cause. That's a skateboard waiting to run around the skip pan.
