Car spec= must be roadworthy but I'm not bothered about legality
Noise=105dB static as James says. All vehicles will be noise tested beforehand in the normal fashion (3/4 revs@1 metre)
A few pointers for you all
All vehicles will be designated a number upon signing on. This number will need to be clearly visible on the rear windscreen or bodywork if that is more relevant. The position of the number on bodywork will be confirmed. This is so that we can accurately track your times throughout the night.
Once people are signed on, there will be the briefest of meetings to outline the format for the event. But basically, it's as follows;
We will be running in the opposite direction around the circuit to normal, so we'll line up along the exit lane by the Esses with a start line near the bridge on the back straight. We will run one at a time up the back straight so this gives us loads of room to complete the distance and slow down gradually around Sears and Riches, re-entering the paddock at the top of the pit lane.
It should go without saying that once you have gone through the 1/4 mile trap you should drive at a very steady speed (50mph max). Once back into the paddock you should drive at no more than 10mph until you either rejoin the line of competitors or park up.
I hope this answers some questions for those interested.
