What a great day out with mates old and new :D

The normal late departure (thanks Dannyboy :) ) and poxy convoy, trying to keep about 10 cars together when people clearly had different ideas of how quick they wanted to go

With Bladey running late, no shows from Big Shazza and DeeRZ(shock) it was all a bit last minute......the longest briefing in the world and a comedy warm up lap or two meant that the race was about to start and I actually pretty nervous.

The humour and goodwill was great. Plenty of banter, some good driving and some pretty awful stuff too.........brilliant, just a brilliant day out :thumb:

Thanks to Rob Harris for organising the event.

Thanks to everybody on the BP side of it, for turning up. A superb team effort from Jamie, Paul and James saw team three cruise to overall victory. Some genuinely great driving gave you boys a deserved victory, well done. Team two comprised of Dan, Trev, Gary and Dean. A combination of Dan and Trevs speed with Dean and Garys consistency meant they weren't far behind. Team three saw some of the management (Dunk, Ben, Gareth and myself) finishing third. Dunk was fighting the flu, Ben and Gareth were fighting understeer and I was fighting 19 and a half stones of ballast, but we did well to hold on for bronze position. I know this was only go karting but everyone I spoke to wanted to win and to get all of us on the podium..........it was magic!

Roll on the next one......if thats how events are gonna be this year, 2007 holds a lot for us all to get excited about.

Onwards and upwards guys :thumb:

I keep having comedy flashbacks and remember Trev overtaking someone on the outside while sidewards and still managed to hold one arm in the air (bladey style) round the next corner and up the hill..........priceless 8)

It was amazing. Whenever Trev was near you on the track you could see the full emotion of how excited he was in his eyes........He knew he was 9 stone lighter than me and on several ocassions he was overtaking for the fun of it. He didn't need to bump me as he went passed but he did anyway!! In my second session it seemed to be wiser for team tactics (cough) to let him and Paul through

That's my excuse ;)

Just a quick reminder for any guests to BigPower.

3rd place= BigPower
2nd place= BigPower

Yep it was great meet and many thanks to Rob for organising it. Can't wait till the next one, loads more fun than throwing my van round :o

Though next time I'm getting some knee pads, or should I say inner side knee pads as i'm bruised to hell on the right leg and the left one is split open (I think that was following the t bone I got after the tunnel) Also I noticed just how unfit I am, felt like I tried to run a marathon in less than 2 hours.

Well done to all BP drivers and also everyone else there, no matter where you finished.

There were a few moments that made it for me - I suppose getting faster and faster as I became more aware of the track was exciting - I remember grinning to myself inbetween my grimaces whilst trying to corner my wildy understeering ride.

The other bit that made me smile - was trev bombing past me - and him having time to look back and grin like a loon as he was heading up the ramp... top driving mate.

Guy's it was nice to put a few faces to peoples names on here...
The rather poor performing ESC team had great fun, but had a complete mare trying to get home due to the A12 closure.
We ended up with 2 satnav's on the go, both disagreeing with each other!!!!
All the drama of the journey aside, it was a great event!!!!! :-D

Roll on the next one..... Outside, less bends, less crushed ribs, arms, legs and just about every muscle in my body!!!!
Take regular exercise, walk to you car!

Cant believe how much pain I was in today !!!

Horrendous but well worth it.

Anyone get anymore pics ? Suprised we havent had any of the car park yet.

Memories of the day for me include watching Jungle jim pile into the cone blocking off the pit lane and driving right up to the marshall changing the fuel tank on one of the karts !! Needless to the say he wasnt pleased and sent Jamie back out lol

Also if you take Ben with you and he offers to close the bonnet of your car.....make sure he closes it properly !!!!!! We were very lucky I spotted it whilst going round the ring road lol.

Watching Cannit nudge Trev to get him to get a move on and then seeing Trev waving his hand back at him was priceless....I thought there was gonna be a headbut in the pits afterwards !!!

On the Scoobycity forum there is talk of a 12 hour endurance !! 12 hours....can you imagine the pain lol Although I think its outside so shouldnt be as bad.

Roll on summer when the outdoor go kart circuits will be open !!!!

Now hopefully the pain will go away lol
