First and foremost, thanks to Gary, Christian and Christoff Lamby Pie for another efficient day at the office. 30+ cars run in good time and with good spirit.

Thank you guys :notworthy:

Thank you also to Jo and Fil for the catering; there is nothing like good quality catering to back up a great day out :thumb:

Highlights of the day for me were the cross section of cars; seeing a Supercharged Cobra on the rollers and then Eddies Metro, then high powered GTRs and a mk2 Escort?!! Only at a BP event and all the better for it.

It was really nice to see several cars over 500bhp. We all get 'used' figures like 300 and 400bhp as being like normal power outputs. Of course they're not but these are the circles that we mix in. Everyone stood up and took notice when Dans Cobra literally rocked up though. Home built and tuned with so much potential. The torque curve, scratch that, the torque table showed more than 400lb ft from 2k, 500lb ft from 3k and held it until about 5.5k!! :o
A wonderful car, nicely prepped, sounding like automotive perfection and such a refreshing change from the normal sort of cars that we get at the track style events. Also the first car I have seen at a BP event to make Fil grin ear to ear and walk at a brisk pace to the other end of the car park where Dan had pitched up :lol:
Well done to Dunk for a great result, Jason for his perseverance with his GTR and a fine reward, Rob (e6ext) for a cracking Evo and so many others;

Another great day out. I look forward to seeing you guys soon :thumb:

My first Big Power event and can I say - bloody awesome to be honest! Probably better than the sxoc day that I went to :)

As always APT were awesome. So lucky to be 15 minutes down the road!!!

Nice to meet some new people. Ill have to try and make more of an effort to come to more events in future as im getting into track days alot more.

A bit dissappinted with my figures yet again - 253bhp. Was hoping for 270 but I guess that was a bit optimistic! Ill be back with a vengence next time hopefully with bigger injectors and a nice APT map! ;)

Cheers all,
Chris

A worthwhile exercise then Lee. That is one of the main uses of a rolling road.
When you go back you can see what difference your work has made.

Dunno, lol. Probably gone the same place my clutch has.... :pmsl:

Oh well, I knew it was marginal anyway, I was just hoping it might manage one run before crapping itself!

Aside from that it was a great day- the weather held-out and the food was brill. As ever the APT guys were well organized and it was fantastic to see such a variety of cars and everyone having a good time.

Needless to say, I'll be up for the next one (with a new clutch and cam)! :wink:
