APT Dyno Day - 16th November

maybe big un but 300zx is a nice drive for a sun and still 500+ hopefully only time will tell as it depends if the gtr is in running order .
still a couple of drag meets to get to before dyno day and gearbox woes are a common occurence .still the gtr is still taxed and mot,d but think the side exit 4"exhaust will attract too much attention on the drive up.

Max1, bring the 'big one' but just make sure you run last so that if you do cause a black hole, tearing a hole in the time space continuum, causing most of East Anglia to disappear, at least we'll have had a nice day out first :thumb:

Or produce the 'Groundhog Day Effect', thus being able to constantly run our motors on the rolling road!!

Crikey! This looks like its going to be a good day. It also looks like it will be the biggest one we've had yet.

We did do 34 cars at SCA, but the Dyno Dynamics system is a little more complex to set the cars up on. Oh well, it will be fun I'm sure.

We usually do 2-3 runs to establish a stable figure and print graphs of what we consider to be the best run. This is usually (but not always) the highest power run. Could you please take the time to visit our waiting room where you will find a graph on the wall from Gary's car (the show-off) which has some info on it explaining what the graph means. I don't mind explaining things to people, but you'll learn most of it by glancing at that first. We need to keep things running smoothly, because we don't want to take away the quality element.

Anyway, I am really keen on getting the first car ready for a 9.00 run. I'd also like to think that I can group cars together a little throughout the day. Not only does this make it easier for us, but I think it's also more interesting for people watching out for certain cars. This won't be absolutely possible or necessary, but there'll be a hint of that.

In usual style, it would help me greatly if those people that have never run on our 4WD dyno could PM me the following information :-

If you're unsure, PM it anyway!

Importantly, could you please make sure that you've checked your Oil and Water and the general obvious things prior to putting yourself forward on the day.

We will want to adjust your tyre pressures on the day, so any help you can give us there would be greatly appreciated. Once the car prior to yours is on the Dyno, could you move your car into the spot to the right of the workshop roller door ready for us to make this adjustment and make sure that one of us corrects the tyre pressures afterwards, incase you get overlooked.

When you arrive, please make your way to the 'sign your life away' forms and hand them to ME as soon as possible, preferable before making a beeline for the grub van. If you have a preference as to when you run, please make that known. Otherwise the running order will be allocated in roughly the order of when I receive the forms back, taking into account that I will juggle stuff around as said earlier.
