A few highlights to look forward to.

BigPower has the following assets;

1) Our own workshop that will be up and running very soon. Facilities will include a four poster ramp, air tools and a kettle!
2) Our own track/drift car available for organised events.
3) Our own in house professional photographer who works for JTuner, Banzai and many other top magazines.
4) Preferred rates for car and general insurance with a leading insurance broker.
5) Our own online shop selling related merchandise and motorsports equipment, new and used.
6) Specially organised events including trips to the Nurburgring, UK race circuits, quarter mile days, drift practice and rally events. Special rates available whether participating or spectating.

These features will be available to full members very soon and the rates for membership will be announced at the same time. I am sure that the yearly fee will be very easy to justify compared to the unique features that we will offer our members. We have achieved a massive amount in 10 days. Imagine what we can do together in time to come.

My sincere thanks to all those involved in getting BigPower off of the ground. We have exciting times ahead.

Cheers

Update

Post by Stuart »

OK, after four months I thought you guys, the backbone of the site, deserved an update.

After our three month probationary period at Snetterton, Jamie Hopper as Circuit and Operations manager, has confirmed that the Wednesday night slots are guaranteed for BigPower meets as long as we want them! This is thanks in no small part to the efforts of you guys attending in the most testing of conditions, so a big thanks to you all :notworthy:
We are in discussions with the circuit and MSV to put a large range of differing events on for you guys next year and members will see a distinct benefit over non-members. Our meetings should be concluded in early January and we'll make the announcements as soon as we can.

Having seen a sharp rise in new users on the site, I would ask that everyone consider their posts before they are made. This is in no way related to censorship, merely that I would like our forum to be free of the sort of crap that is spoiling a lot of other forums. Someone mentioned to me that this forum is like a 'best kept secret' and that it may be better to keep it discrete. Whilst I took that as an enormous compliment, we can all help to control the content and therefore all help to mould the way the site grows. We cannot and will not tolerate this site losing it's identity, several members are only here becuase of the adult nature and no nonsense approach. By all means enjoy the forum, that's why it's here, but please try and contribute wherever you can (projects/photos/event coverage etc)

In July 2006 BigPower didn't even exist. By December 2006 we are already being mentioned by tuners, publishers, circuit owners, 'rival' forums and the like. Just imagine where we can be with continued effort.........

Onwards and upwards :thumb:
