Blackys musings and ramblings...

Well, I'm sure a lot of you are bored of me harping on about Subaru's and Evo's and which ones better etc, but I thought I would just write down a few thoughts from my last few days....as I have the Subaru at work with me this week driving it everyday!
Its a mental car the RA, not great on the motorway thats for sure, noisy!! Very Noisy! But my thoughts are from having the pleasure of driving both recently are
:
1. The Evo is kinda like a German, efficient, just gets on with the job and gets it done, no fuss, no hassle, and then kinda says to you (if cars could talk!!) "Is that it, come on give me some more!!" But maybe it lacks a little soul.
2. The Subaru - its maybe not as robust, but its got a certain something to it, more soul and character maybe! Even tho its had me in the depths of despair with fixing it, driving it again, running it in, its like a new set of underpants - first of all you feel restricted and slighty uncomfortable, worried about chafing! Then as they wear in and you can move more freely and become to feel part of you, Like this week where I'm slowly using more boost etc in the car and it has me smiling again, driving with the window down to here the off beat warble and pops and bangs on the overrun!!
What I do know is that both are excellent in their own ways....and I would recommend both to anyone looking for hairdried up Japbox! Both came from a favourite era for me in Rallying.
