My Mini 1/4 weekend.

Post by Miniwilliams »

Well just got back from Avon park, it was the mini show down weekend. It would appear that I came 3rd in my class and I get a cup.

Quite pleasing as I was the only one in the top 3 to drive the car to the event and drive it the 170 miles home! the 1st and 2nd place cars are really top class motors, and feather light, in some cases up to near 200 KGS lighter then me! and are set up for drag racing much more then my car. So I'm pleased.

What's more pleasing for me if I broke the 110 terminal speed barrier that I so much wanted to see, my best speed over the line was 112 mph. and my best 1/4 time was 13.83 sec, with a good 2.483 sec, 60 foot time, this is my best ever!, in the grand scale of things it's crap I no!
All this was done and 3/4 power as well as i wanted to get home lol.

Driving a fast Jap import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay.

Cheers fellas.

Next year and LSD stonger drive shafts and sort out the gear box and the time might come down a tad more, but the cars not build for this so i shouldn't get to carried away with it lol.
