Who was out doing their thing this weekend?

Post by 323ian »

After weeks of shitty rainy weather it finally broke this weekend!

I went out on Saturday for a nice blast about with John (Mirage) and it was great fun although a bit short as he had to go on holiday early this morning.

Today i fired my car up for another session after being inspired by watching the F1! :-D

I had to go out on my own this time as my wingmans (dan) car has gone to the great scrapheap in the sky, Ben was about to get pissed or was already pissed and Stuart was living it up at the F1 and his car is undergoing a 4 foot width extension!

Planning to go out for just a quick spin i managed to clock up 157 miles of Norfolks finest B-roads. 8)
I love driving my car and just wish i had a bottomless pocket to just keep pouring fuel into it!

I think we are quite lucky where we live as we do have some really nice driving roads.

Who else was out doing their thing this weekend then?

There really is nothing better than getting out there and driving with the sun shining!

I attempted to fit my Walbro with my new flare spanners-which worked great but the union joint is still being a pain as the rubber pipe attactched to it was coiling up as I undid the joint-didnt want to risk it too much so I gave up and put it back together-I will have to undo the other end of the pipe (underneath the car :x and pull the pump with all the pipe work out that way)

After that I gave the car a clean and drove into town to drop off my suit for tommorow evenings awards.

If you get really stuck and need access to the underside of the car then i have access to some ramps if it helps.

Cheers for the offer

I can get to the joint okay-just you really need to take the exhaust off to get some room with the spanners-also i didnt have any WD40 to spray the joint with so that didnt help either, probably leave it till Ive got a whole day to spend on it not under the infulence of the night before  as long as its done before the 1/4 mile evening thats fine.

Out on my bike as usually, most of the day was spent at snett watching the MRO bikes in action! Must get the car out soon. Also stripped a bit more weight out of the ax removing the old fuel filler tube. Got to bleed the brakes next week and try and source some sticky tyres.

When you do decide to start using your 'proper' car again Lee give me a shout, will be good to hook up for a drive. I did see a lot of bikes heading from Snetterton.
