My plan for this weekend

Post by TonyB »

So, since I moved house I have been:
1) Short of money
2) Had no where to work on the car
3) Not had time/energy to work on the car

The time has now come that I HAVE to do some work on the car. With the BP Drag night approching, and mapping to finish before hand.

So this weekend:
1) Somehow get the car safely up on stands, on a sloped gravel drive :? :o
2) Fit nice new shiney uprated Rad
3) Re-route oil-cooler, and may need to make new braided lines
4) Strip subframe to confirm knackard engine mount
5) Fit new Braded brake lines all round, with quality fluid
6) Make new lines for GB cooler that do not leak

oh, and try to resist popping over to the beer festival with Duncan

The field outside the festival has a nice flat surface and you could sup some of the finest real ales known to mankind at the same time..... job done :D

Seriously though, have a great time - quite some list there :o

So, sunday was quite eventful.

4) Still unsure on this one, I will need to do further investigation.
5) New brake lines fitted, one problem - where did I put that Fluid??? No idea, tried to get some from local motorist store but they only had crappy dot4 :( As I am now on a course for a week, my car is up on stands until the weekend.
6) I needed to rethink this one, as there is not a lot of space and I do not want to over cool - DaveGT4 maybe coming to the rescue :)

Also found time to fit my HKS Knock Monitoring equipment.

It was a shame that my Rad Fan no longer fits - oh well an excuse to buy a nice Spal fan ;-)

Tony - I have some spare good brake fluid (RBF600) if you need it?
