Ok Guys and Girls, an update for you to cast your vote on.

I have had many conversations with Trevor at Straightliners about the event and he is happy to provide professional standard timing equipment for the night. At a price of course. He has given me two scenarios.

Option One

We can either run one lane at a time, running one car every 45 seconds or so. This way we will be able to run a minimum of 120 runs based on a 2 hour session. Obviously we can either 40 cars at 3 runs each or 30 cars at 4 runs each.......etc etc
This option costs BigPower

I think it would be a good idea to invite other forums...but probably only a couple and you would have to agree up front who was coming.

well i am happy to invite other forums?

if it wasn't for scooby city, i wouldn't have won the go-kart endurance race? :D

if it wasn't for PH we wouldn't have been invited to RAF marham and show ferrari driver show its done :D

as mentioned, paid members is sound thinking.

it could help promote the forum too? on an events level......

Marham was actually thanks to Liam for mentioning it and me to plaguing the hell out of the RAF :D but I take your point.

I think this is a great opportunity to really push things forward if it's handled correctly.

No Problems with a bigger meet and including other guest clubs as long as they have a similar ethos to BP (chav free)

No problemo

We currently have 25 or so serious names on the list. We need a bare minimum of 40 to run 3 goes each to go for single lanes or 80 to go twin laning, so either 15 more people on option one or 55 on option two.

Don't worry about the details too much at this stage mate. I'm sure we can all work this out.

I think go for the 40 ... I think we're pushing it to get 80 cars paying.

Unless it's paid on an upfront no return basis.

Also would be a concerned about how we can police any other group - any stupid behavior will fall back on us.

But when that's all said and done, I'm with anything that will help build on BP.
