Went to tesco's - get to an empty till - place my stuff on the conveyor - girl lifts divider to start my stuff heading to the till - as it's on it's way - some bloke appears from no-where and place his stuff ahead of mine ..

'Excuse me - I'm using this till' - 'has she started putting your items through - No' .... Absolutely gobsmacked - then he just carried on !! - did cross my mind to tell him to F**k off - but I was still in shock at his pure ignorance!! ...

Decided that flipping out in my local tesco's wasn't advantageous :)

I remember a few moons ago, when Tanya and I were shopping at a local Tescos when we lived in Essex. We were wandering along, putting the world to rights, when a young guy walked towards us, I noticed him from around 4 or 5 aisles away. He was staring at Tanya, basically admiring her from head to toe. My thoughts were;

Aisle 5) Ponce

Aisle 4) fair enough I suppose

Aisle 3 and getting much closer) Right mate, I'll need a word

Aisle 2 and still gawping) I took a deep breath, tried to make myself look as nasty as possible.

Aisle 1. a few feet away and this gimp hasn't broken eye contact with Tan in 30-40 seconds, Tan is still oblivious and my heart was thumping and my eyes were on stalks.............

BAM

I had taken a french stick out of the trolley and in one smooth movement clobbered this twat around the head with it :o :lol: He fell into one of the end displays and Tan shrieked, pushing me away from him. To this day I don't know what I'd have done if he'd have got up and 'fought' back, but he skulked off bright red (and a head full of breadcrumbs) and I tried to compose myself. All very Rambo by my standards but that day still stays with me as I hate using violence and it's the only time I've felt the need to do something. Probably the only occassion I've resorted to physical conduct rather than just making a mug out of someone verbally, if anything was needed at all.

The morale I guess is that it must surely be good to know you're a better man than to lower oneself to reacting to these people. Ignorance in others is something I'm sure we all see everyday and dealing with the public all day long, perhaps I see it more often than most.

bit harsh stu?

surely having a lady who can command such attention is a good thing?

i would have probably groped her or stuck my tongue in her ear rather than clobber a bloke with a bloody baguette!! :lol:
