AT LAST!!!!

this being my first thread in the members section i thought it should be a good one.

i had a car accident 4 years ago in which i was a passenger about to test drive a shogun when we were rear ended as we turned into a narrow country lane just past the sprowston manor hotel.

it wasn't major but i have suffered a fair bit over the years. i had to stop building my garage for 2 years!!

i know it's not really what compensation is for ( i suppose? i don't really know? ) but intend to get me a nice car.

i finally got a court date for the 24th and 25th may 2007.

this has dragged out for nearly two years AFTER my symptoms improved.

we hope to blow them out of the water with there piss poor defence.

i do have insurance in the event of loosing to cover the legal fee's of the defence, so i have nothing to loose.

it has been a thorn in my side for so long its unreal.

what ever the outcome it puts an end to it at last!!

thanks for reading

Best of luck Jim. The stress of accidents is the worst part for some people, for me its the bloody court cases that go with it :)

Keep us posted, but I suppose if you turn up at a meet in a Gallardo, you've won :thumb:

going by the picture of james in a gallardo, i don't think so. lol

the plan is to still get an R32 GTS-T, strip it out. once i have sold the rover.

i then hope to get enough from the compo to purchase an RB26 or RB25 ( and TT it )

and throw some money at the engine and stick it in.

i want to have just rwd and removing the HICAS from a GTR sounds too much effort.

this will be an interesting project anyway.

it will allow for track fun, good drag times and maybe have a go at drifting?

Removing the hicas - it's just a case of fitting a little bar :).

Anyway good luck mate.

not to save weight it isn't

it will also require the removal of the front drive shafts and you will still have the fron diffbox hanging on etc.

its just a thought atm. might change it. not sure.

If you want a lightweight rear wheel drive turbonutter Datsun, you're better off with a S14 or an Sr20'd S13 anyway Jimbo.......ditching HICAS only saves about a gnats pube off of the weight (rumours are 50kgs, but I reckon much less) and you're still left with something that's over 1400kgs I would think. I suppose on the other hand, with an R32 at least it doesn't look like it was built by Blue Peter.

Look forward to the action nearer the time.
