It keeps outwitting me !!!
I like to see all posts since my last visit, but quite often I only manage to get halfway through reading the new threads (and taking the piss more often than not admittedly !!!

) before the system resets and then "updates" my last logged in time as the current time and therefore loses any of the threads I havent read yet.
I hope this makes sense, and I am not moaning at anyone - Duncan does a great job that I dont have the skill or patience to do - just mentioning it in case its my bloody AOL causing the problem or is anyone else having the same issues ?
Cheers,
J.

Soon young Jedi, soon.
Back to topic, I would imagine that it would be AOL related as I haven't had issues and my PC's are so old they look like they were used as props in the film Metropolis  If anyone else has problems, email Dunk, Ben or Gareth as they all know more about this sort of thing. If anyone needs dietary advice over Christmas, I'm your man :thumb:

its all AOL's fault. they use an invisible proxy which results in your netfacing IP address changing every so often. this confuses the forum as it thinks youve logged in and out again.
hence the missing posts.
solution: ditch AOL and get a proper isp

Couldnt have explained it better.
btw changing to a low lag isp such as plus.net will make it easier for online gameplay too.

i'm AOL and haven't experienced anything?
i have thought about changing ISP but find it daunting changing email address and accounts dotted across the world!!
might pluck up the courage to do it summer time?
i don't usually use the latest posts facility, i look everywhere anyway. lol

if you buy your own domain for a few quid per year, theres no need to ever change email addresses again. i bought andrewmcc.com for a uni assignment on a whim and have kept it ever since
