Trackday car hire

I was speaking to Gary from APTuning last night and he reminded me about an idea I had a while ago. I have considered converting the Trackday Sierra I own for more general use, ie for members of this forum to use at Trackdays that have some kind of BigPower presence. I can post a full spec if requested but members can find the full details here http://www.bigpower.co.uk/forum/garage. ... icle&CID=4
Anyway, the long and short of it is this~ If I got the car prepped for anyone to use would you guys be interested in hiring it? I would be happy to bring it along to the event so that you could arrive and drive. I can only estimate the hire charges but would reckon on

Fantastic idea and very generous of you Stuart.

What you haven't suggested is mechanical damage though?

I've factored what I presume will be the likely bills within the charges outlined. I don't want to earn money out of this Ben, just interested to see the idea in motion. It may coax the shy onto the race track and once they see how an old cheap well prepared car can perform, they may get more involved which is my main goal.

Ok, so three moderators think it's a good idea, but what about the other 70 odd paid members? :)

its a good idea but personally I would rather track my car but there might be the members out there that would like to possible learn to track other cars etc

Personally I think it's a great idea.

For someone in my situation it'd be great have the chance to use a fully prepared car.

how much you charging for a week at the Nurburgring?

sounds a very good idea
but not for me as it would be in my head about damaging a car that i dont own, mainly mechanical damage, i know things can be repaired etc.. but i dont think i could enjoy it
but still a very good idea for others to try and get them on track,
