There's a few NU people on here so hopefully, good advice will be fothcoming.

As PC185 advises. Download main dealer prices for similar models so you have the argument ready.

You - boys - all insurance companies operate the same way.

Chris's advice is spot on - save the evidence.

I've walked past a room floor the ceiling with boxes containing every weeks copy of autotrader so that can look back.

So you are actually dealing with UK based staff? ... I'll see if I can unearth the facts with regards payouts on theft of vehicles.

Thanks to pc185,

This is the best advise! I called my adjuster and told him that I had found several cars online, same spec, same year and that I would fax him the printouts from the websites for proof. I faxed them to him and the insurance called four hours later with a DOUBLED payout offer. I settled for 8K from 4K!!! :-D
