I would say go for it.

As soon as i see the right plate for my car i will be getting it, for me it is like a finishing touch for the car.

There are some lovely ones floating about on a few Skylines.

Like people have said the ones that are just A12 FGD are crap as they just make the car look older than it is. I like the ones that are really obvious like S555 DEN, sooooo much fun to shout the name on the personal plate out as the car drives past and then laugh as the driver looks around to see who's calling their name :pmsl:

Yep from me - we had one on the golf - it's still on there and I may swap it across one day :)

I had a private plate on my R1 (R1 1SXY) but obviously it was refering to
the bike.
I've looked at getting one for the GTO but I'd rather get one that I can transfer from vehicle to vehicle. Trouble is something else always crops
up that I have to spend my hard earned bucks on.

Stu, there's a good one on the DVLA site that I've been looking at is that the same one as you've got your eye on ? PM Sent.

My little MG came with TEA53G

Which in number-plate world reads TEASE-G im told, looked it up and the damn plates worth more than the car :D Strange world we live in.

Always thought - T13VOM, would look great in the rear view of the car ahead, its registered to a 1.4 Polo atm.

Go for it.

A big yes for me and i agree with BigFill when he says it's no different in new wheels etc for your car.

Modifying your car is all about making it personal to you and different from everyone elses.

Take the CSL for example, not many people modify the exyerior on them so what better than a personal plate.

I've got M3 BLS (last name is BEALES) on my CSL

I've got R1 BLO (B.LO nickname BEALO) on my R1

and on my old Renault 5 Cosworth i had BEA105T (BEALO 5T)

So i'd go for it Stu.....
