The Supra was an example of my quandry, it just happens to be something that makes my trousers tent as well. Thank you for the feedback, you guys are like a collective conscience (like the Borgue, I've been assimilated :) )

Some valid points above. I don't think I can stop spending on the GTR right now as the bodywork needs finishing and for the sake of a grand, the old girl will be comfortably 500 at the flywheel which is a great milestone and sales tool. Decisions, decisions.

Dunk~ yes, you and I have had many similar conversations before, all fun and all part of car ownership. Me and cars is not a monogamous relationship.

Nik~ hammer, nail and head my friend.

Gareth~ You and your bloody rotaries :) I do love the RX whether its FC, FD or an 8, but its not the right car for me at the moment.

Ben~ I have a cheap track car and perhaps having something that I'm more 'scared' of will encourage me to use it. The GTR is so damned capable it needs massive power to feel 'edgy'. I complained to Gary Hayward that I felt it was way down on power, maybe 300 at the wheels, it felt that slow and the bloody thing does nearly a hundred on top! Too sane and therefore the potential to push too hard= big accident maybe?

This is an ongoing saga that many of us face, I have chosen to share it and think that something like the car above could be a good option. Will keep you posted :thumb:

Interesting thread Stu........I did wonder how long it would take before you had you head turned!!!! :D :D

..........could this be one of your phases or maybe the seed has been sown and it depends on how its watered

That Supra would keep you on your toes as it's RWD but there again so is yours (usually anyway).........maybe its the way the big single comes in that would make it scary......give yours a single.

I guess wedge will come into the equation at some point,it always does :( . No matter what large horsepower car gets the nod it will cost the earth to tune and maintain :o

..........maybe a RIPS RB30 for the price it would cost to add to yours and buy that Supra :thumb:
Dan

205 GTi....... for track and fun

V8 Jag ....... for pimping

That could be the case Ian but the pics of the Supra are clearly in England..

I cant imagine a car with a spec like that hanging about for a great length of time??! Its a stunning looking car and visually the only thing need changing is the brakes..

Could be worth a look if you are seriously considering a swap?

If it were me, i would stop looking at other cars! Spend the grand on yours and enjoy a great specced ( 500bhp ) Skyline that is very capable for what you want to use it for and would probably be faster than the Supra around a track :) ( At least for this year :P )
