Tein EDFC- any first hand experiences?

My GTR has had this fitted last week and I was interested to know if any guys on here had used it and what their thoughts and feelings were? I have read several magazine features and online reviews but would prefer some honest and open feedback from you guys as our needs and requirements are probably closer than a generic review.

Was it easy to use?
Were the 'steps' noticeable in the change to the dampening?
What settings do you use?

I know I'll probably use a trackday to set it up but any insight would be greatly appreciated :thumb:

Hi Stuart,

I haved the Tein Full Flex with the EDFC.

Yes it makes a massive difference between the steps... I can only drive on full soft 16 FR & RR on the road.
For fast road I run 8 & 8 or 6 & 8 with the rears being slightly softer.
If i run to hard on the road, it skips rather than gripping... plus my internal organs can't take the abuse!
For track in the dry, i was running full hard FR and 2 RR.
But after my instruction day, with some advise from Andy Walsh, we backed the FR 3, as this provided more damping and allowed more grip for the steering, and the RR remained at 2.

Which Tein kit did you go for?

Control Master Flex (same one as you I think) I going to Snetterton for the afternoon sessions on the 10th for some fine tuning and then going for a full days instruction with Ben Devlin at our day on the 28th. I don't really want me being distracted by a new car set up when I'm supposed to be getting tuition.

Sounds like sound advice....
I would avoid full hard, unless it's a retviley smooth circuit (i.e. not to many tight twistie bends). as thats when you'll want more dampening, to allow the fronty to grip.....
harden the rear if you want more lively action from the back! :-D

I can picture it now at Sears, full hard rear settings, heel and toe into third and all that boost (well 1.2 bar of it hopefully) ................the armco is miles away so I may give it a go

Snettie should be running fairly hard.
Its a good track to play with EDFC, you can feel the diffrence between the settings.

Try and see thats my philosophy!
