jason - what are the 60ft times like - is it a traction issue that is causing the lower times?

hi jason first i would register on civic-typer.co.uk forum and get friendly with people on there and maybe have a chat with someone like guy at cpl racing in kent he knows his stuff on the k20.
i have owned two ctr's before going to a supra there great cars in terms of time for a fairly stock car the ctr pulls great times in my opinion remember it doesn't have bags of torque and is n/a.
i did 14.8 in a stock ctr put toyo tr1's and much improved things over the hard re040 standard after those i tried the re050's from an s2000 and found a slight improvment but toyos being best.
ending up spending 5-6k on the second ctr and had the 12th fastest fwd car in the uk it ran 13.6@107 2 years ago have a vid somewhere.
i'll be happy to talk more on this thread or via pm's with you and disclose a few more things etc my ctr had 326.6 bhp by the way thats how it did the 13.6 if you are wondering 8) will talk soon

there were a couple of civic type r's at a recent trackday at coltishall and front wheel traction did seem to be the main problem with them, sounded lovely though 8)

Yeah you cant beat the sound of a Honda Vtec !
Still reckon I will get an Integra at some point.
Obviously 'in addition' to the Rex lol
i - it may be more worthwhile if you state what you are trying to achieve, my guess is a setup for drag is going to be very different than that for the track.
Post some pics and spec of your machine up in the gallery so we can see what other mods you have, what suspension have you got ? After all 'power is nothing without control' !!

nos? i've heard so many stories good and bad, would like it been advised not to on standered block, how much you put through was it on standard clutch? thats next on list while its of i should really get lsd and flywheel done save a few squid doing all together

I knew i forgot something

i had a clutchmasters clutch and a fidanza flywheel also thats another 1k to add

i found that the lightweight flywheel really made the fact that falling out of the power band was more likely to happen unless you lower the vtec point which i wouldn't touch unless you change cams as honda have that all where it should be unless you mod a great deal.
What year is your ctr as the facelift models had a lighter flywheel (6.5KG same clutch but has a even disrubution of holes cut in it to achieve the weight loss)than the pre face lifts (8KG) fidanza weighs 4kg i think at the top of my head at around 300bhp you need an uprated clutch as i found after lunching 2 stockers in one year i had 326.6 bhp with around 215 ft lb of torque.
Nos is fine if used and set up correctly i had a progressive controller so it was not shot in violently like a straight shot, i used 100bhp jets so 100bhp of nos from a wet kit using all safety that was built into the controller i.e window switch for set revs and lean cut facility etc so it was fairly safe i used that kit and had that power for around 1 1/2 years with no problems.
