I went to an SXOC RR evening and I'm really pleased with the result. 258.5BHP and 240lbs ft at 0.9-0.8 bar. I thought it was ruinning 15 psi from my gauge, so was even more pleased when I heard what boost it was actually running. next things to do are up the boost to 1-1.1 bar, then a DE inlet cam and then bigger injectors. and possible an ocho remap or tweek if hes up for it. sorry haven't got the graph with me at work but will get a pic of it up on monday tuesday.

Cheers
Richard

God starting point with the figures - it can only get better with more boost :D

and a 90BHP over standard isn't a bad starting point :D

not looking for more than 300 out of this as any more then that and the power delivery isn't great from a CA for drifting.

I know SRR, charlie is a great guy there huh?

258 is a bloody good number for a starter for 10!

I was down there a couple of weeks ago working on some of our cars and Charlie had a power run in for an SX. The mods on it were not that massive, but it put down over 300BHP! It was a very clean car too. IIRC that was running manifolds/induction/Exhaust/EBC and i couldnt believe how well the car had responded to the tweaks. SX's seem to be a great car to mod.

Good luck with the drifting, i keep thinking about building a drift car but i never really get round to it.

Cheers,

Ben.

it didn't last long unfortunatley

I was on my way down to Lydd for the SVA challenge cup weekend to compete and it chucked a cam cap out the cam cover adn slowly dumped oil. so now onto rebuild number 2.

Bugger mate, cars can be rather trying sometimes.

It'll be back :D

going to do a couple of things differently like more head work, CA16DE inlet cam. should help the torque figures a bit.

Don't let it get you down mate think of it as a devolement phase. Look at the number of engines that professional teams blow up. When we first put our car on the rollers it blew a head gasket, then we found out that the petol tank was leaking. but hey we're out there now and so will you be.
