Have you tried millers octane booster? easier to get.

If you where thinking about trying some i've used it in the scoob since owning it and think prolong is by far the best for lowest readings on my knock meter, cost and that one bottle can do two tanks if you so wish!

woody - which one do you use?
just grabbed a bottle or two of the Millers CVT Turbo and been trying it out today ready for the weekend. it does seem to like it somewhat.
Done an ECU reset so that it could accelerate the fuel learning and is now running 26.5 ignition timing advance compared to 22 at 6500 before. Not 100% sure what this means but i seem to remember that advance is good (to a point) and that the ecu will learn and try and grab as much advance pre-det as it can. I think cos of the higher octane (102-103) in the tank the risk of det is less and it is sensing that.
I have done some logging of the results but not fully analsed and compared in gear accelerations yet will do a road dyno test to check wheel bhp/torque pre and post octane booster to get some firm(ish) facts.... call me obsessive but i want to know whether chucking another

Not sure the CVT is the right stuff - you just need millers octane booster - i used to use it - it made the car quieter - but that's about it.

Ben - I put in CVL Turbo (http://www.millersoils.net/M3_cgi/mille ... VL%20TURBO) - raises the octane by 4 octane numbers (for events only) - I got some Octane Plus for the rest of the time.
It seems to have made a difference to the ignition advance but will test via a road dyno run later to see if any real justification in using it power-wise.
