Very good video, I think it could have been improved by a commentry voice over.

Thats easy,
This is how they work.............
You pour copious amounts of fuel, oil and money in one side of the engine, and lots of noise, smoke and rotor tips come out the other side !!!

But seriously - that is very odd - it was kind of like reinventing the wheel I suppose - didn't need to be done - but hell the designer was bored.

You can all jest guys but you Skyline boys should be jealous that a Rex rebuild costs half as much as a rebuild on an RB26 lol Even getting it done twice is cheaper !!!
The rotary engine always gets a bad press because of the nightmare stories of blown tips etc
One of the main reason is the standard ecus are very sensitive when it comes to fueling and can only handle about 2-3 mods. This can include anything from induction kits to bovs, exhaust systems etc. Typically from what I have seen on other Rotary specific forums the issues occur when the cars arent warmed properly or fueled properly.
A well known tuner in the US regularly has customers achieving over 120k miles. This is pretty good on a highly stressed engine.
If you've never experienced the smoothness of a Rotary engine I highly recommend it.
In other words, dont knock it till you have tried it !!!!!!

Gareth - I've always said i'd have a Rex if I didn't have a GTR. I love the sound!!! ... now go and order that blumming suspension.

I actually imported what was at the time probably the most powerful RX7 in the country 4years ago. It was a bridge ported 13b running a T04R with lots of other bits besides - easily span up in 4th on power alone in the dry.
Trouble was it was a total bucket so I got my money back from the importer that had brought it over and bought the R34 on the way home - literally !!!
