Which is best boost controller

Been looking around the tinternet and thinking of purchasing a boost controller, only thing is there is too much to choose from. The stupid side of me thinks, buy the one that looks the best in the dark. The sensible side says buy one with more features and easily adjustable (user friendly). Any previous experience on the Blitz, Greddy, HKs, Apexi etc, etc would be grateful. Cheers.

I think the Turbo smart has a lot of good features, thats what i'm looking at now.

I use the Blitz SBC-ID boost controller......not only does it look nice but it holds boost rock solid right to the red line 8)
Apexi AVCR looks the business aswell
Like you say, so many to choose from.

i have the hks evc 5 and its great. its by no means as frilly as the apexi gear, but it does the job of controlling your boost perfectly.
installation is about as simple as it can be. splice into the turbo to actuator pipe, hijack a vacuum feed off the intake manifold and give it +12 volts.
theres two pressure settings, switchable with a button press and clearly displayed on screen. it can handle up to 2.2 or 2.5 bar (cant remember which) and has a boost limit function, where if you go over your preset (in my case 1.3bar) limit, it shuts itself down to run base actuator pressure until you back off the throttle. then you can plant it again
gaffa tape the display to your dash and hide the knobby bit somewhere safe. once its set up theres no need to fiddle

Hks does look the dogs danglies, I got to admit that. Also I will need it to handle more boost when I fit the new turbo and intercooler. thanks for the info guys.

does this unit come with the LCD or is that an added extra?

its all included. theres 3 parts to it
1. the controlling solenoid
2. the knobby bit where you set the boost level and then hide away
3. the lcd display you gaffatape to the dash
