Anybody used them, or know if they live up to the sales blurb?

what are they, do they help stop you from torque steering all over the road like i do sometimes?

I think BB is referring to engine torque dampers. I know what they are but nothing about their application and benefits. I should have thought that without signficant power changes they are uneccessary, but as I said, I know nothing.

Apparently (only what I have read) they are designed to eliminate engine movement (which saps torque) when you change gear or accelerate hard. More power gets directly to the drivetrain and wheels. One's I've seen are about

I have a mixed fealing on this......

it stops the enigine from moving about under hard acceleration.

but if you braced the engine then you really should brace all the other stuff. If not you may induce a twist in a place which other wise does not exist. lots of people use them. it eliminates that 3rd gear change problem so im told. i have never had this problem because i know where 3rd gear is  i was shown its location when i was taught to drive

May have benefits on a 800bhp drag car but not sure if it will do much on a road car.
Remember that the movement/stress eliminated by the damper will be put somewhere else though.
They do look nice! 8)
