I was using Silkolene Pro S 10W - 50.

But Abbey recommended and put in Agip 10/60 Synthetic Engine Oil

Noticed no difference between the two.

Silkolene Pro S 10w 50.

From Oilman, Opie Oils, they even sent me some gearbox oil for free after their original stuff they sold me didn't work particularly well.

What is peoples opinion on oils when they are running an oil cooler, do they change the grade they use to compensate for the lower heat in the oil?

I would have said NO to that. The oil cooler will help keep your oil in good order for longer as it's not running past it's best design temp.

But won't put thinner oil in because of it.
