the wheel nuts on my subaru seem to be made of some form of cheese,
what do you boys use on your jap stuff as my ford ones where made of good old pig iron :)

Yeah, iron for me too. Funnily enough I found some old alloy GTR nuts today and slung them straight in the bin :D

I am using the subaru wheel nuts with no issues but they do require a deep socket to get on them enough. Saw some aftermarket ones advertised on SN the other night.

i have just found some steel ones on ebay but they have closed ends is this acceptable for sprinting as for some forms of motorsport they have to be open ?

are the ones you have open ended Tony?

On my car are closed Jas, same as this:

I was tempted by these as the nut holes on my wheels are tight and my socket is rubbing the wheel: http://bbs.scoobynet.com/subaru-parts-4 ... nuine.html

just be aware that with a lot of aftermarket wheels the std Subaru nut sits on the 'hex' and isn't correct.....
