Golf Mk3 8v brake pads??????

Hi all.
I recently purchased some DS2500's for my 98 8v Golf. Went to fit them and they are the wrong ones! Apparently the DS is not listed for the 8v. I was told the 8v and 16v pads are the same, alas not.
What are the next best pads available for my Golf?
Model No is FERFCP775H for the DS's. for sale at the right price.
It has 288mm dia discs fitted.

Mintex 1144's are pretty good, but you can pretty much buy anything that is fast/road track usable at that price point. I had similar issues with DS pads when I had my MK2, but we just bought another listing that Ferodo didn't usually sell and they fitted up just fine. Could be worth double checking?
