So what's the need to know things when using race fuel.


What sort of power increase can you see?

Is it harmful to any components in the engine or fuel system?

Do you have to drain all the normal fuel out before putting in?


What else do I need to know.

I read the title and thought that as a man of vast experience you were going to give us chapter and verse on Race Fuels, that we could gain massive power increases for pennies but alas I am none the wiser

on mine 700 on v power ,vp import gives 80bhp more with about 10 degrees more timing

generally engine feels smoother on race fuel,but cylinder pressure are much more due to increased timing.
dont add race fuel with out timing increase or you will loose power,unless its a couple of litres as a mix to stop det.
yes its best to drain after and store in a sealed container.

We are currently running 1.7bar boost but this will going up to 2.0bar (at some point). So the question is. Do you have any idea of what difference adding race fuel will make.

You've got a long way to go before you can say your old

ive no idea in cosworth stuff mate

extra igntion and race fuel will make more just dont go to far or you will lift head

I use MaxNos 119 octane when running NOS

A good alternative is V Power with Power Pour ( Power Pour supplied by Webster Race Engineering) about

One of my concerns, and one that I know Alan will raise when I finally talk to him about this, is lifting the head........again:blush5:

I had heard stuff about it damaging fuel lines and the like, so knowing what to do is massively helpful.

I like the alternative of using Power Pour as we only ever put V Power in the car. That sounds like a plan.
