Chris who used to work at APT was running Proxes T1-R on his Clio at Marham when BP did the Autotest. I think he was pretty pleased with levels of grip from them but the outer edges on the fronts were bald by the end of the day.

They don't seem to be very specific about the type of 595 (Federal) That could be interesting :)
Based on what I have used the T1-R's weren't as good as the Marangoni's, and the Falken 452's were good on a light car but not a heavier one. The Sport Maxx TT's were excellent.
Light car= Sport Maxx, Marangoni, T1-R and 452
Heavier car(+1200kg)=Sport Maxx, 452, Marangoni and T1-R :)

If they'll let you use the Federal 595 RSR as opposed to the SS version, use the RSR and ignore everything above

595 RSR is on the 1B list.

Over on the clio site the AD08's are getting good feedback, T1-R are too.

Lee, you in class A2 or A4?

AD08 would be my choice for a sprint tyre over the Toyo, the Advan's will have stiffer sidewalls. Toyo sidewalls are mega soft.

If in A4 then you can run a 1b.

A2 plan on nipping in to see Polly might be a group buy on some P/W tyres soon.

Think iam set on the AD08's now.

Dunlop sport Maxx TT's have stiff sidewalls too - kevlar reinforced i believe. Thats' he difference between the TT's and the normal ones. I run them on my lard arse and were not too bad on last track day i did. Outer edges (especially front left) were worn by the end of the day of course.

I ran T1R's (on road only) and you could feel them squirming around more through the twisties compared to the 888's they replaced. I was surprised at the difference in feel myself, felt like there was something loose on the car it was that bad. Didn't like them.

Of corse thats on a ~1,400kgs 4WD car, don't know what you have.

If your mega serious you probably want another set of wheels and tyres for the wet!
