How do you paint a flat finish

Post by pjs65 »

Having a flat or matt paint finish has been talked about on here and i was wondering whats the proper way to do it if you have a compressor and spray gun . Do you spray a regular base coat and a clear coat then do the last clearcoat a matt one or do you spray a base coat then a matt clear coat . Or is there another way of doing it . Pete

Add matting agent to the lacquer (I've tried it in a paint booth years ago, but never on one of my own cars)
