Not sure if this is the right section but Just about to order some tires.

I wanted Federal 594RS-R tires but they are out of stock pretty everywhere. Cant see me getting any more trackdays in before the end of the year now due to work commitments being manic.

So im thinking these 2:

Conti Sport Contact 5

or Eagle F1 Asymetric 2.

Both similar price, similar reviews etc etc

Which would you choose? I normally do around 8-10 tracksays a year so once I'm back they will get used on track through the the following winter and spring in all weathers.

I'm open to other options, although size needs to be 215/40R17 or 215/45R17

Out of those two I'd go for the the Continentals but for similar performance I'd go for something like the Falken 452 and save myself

id go for conti however the 595 can be brought in that size with little google "ing"

as between the conti and the rsr there will be no comparing the two i know ive used both road and track the contis will just bubble and disintergrate if you have a medium to heavy car and know how to drive.

but then i supose you could do 15 min stints or shorter ?

rsr ftw though

I normally do have track orientated tyres but Im working out of the country from Apr-Dec this year so wont be driving the car, my wife will hence looking at road tyres that can also perform on track.

This year i wont get anywhere near 10 days in. Prob 2 or 3 at the most.

Ive tried a air few placs for RSRs but they all quote in stock, but most dont actually have them. Luckily ive ust ben put into contact with a distributor who has loads available, so ill be getting the RSR as originally planned

Just sold my last set of 215 RS-R's from my stock

Most who say they have stock are just using the Importers warehouse stock to drop ship them.

I can do that too if required.
