The previous owner as allowed the boot carpet to become pretty well soaked in diff oil. Not good. Does anyone know of a decent way of cleaning the oil out? Preferably something that doesn't stink the car out, thank you please :)

Oi!! Pack it in :)

I read the other day that the front seats weight 45kgs each! I reckon that there must be well over 250kgs in that interior........

How about some watered down Gunk?
It's going to take lots of hot water and a detergent to break down the chemicals. Could it be worth giving a friendly valeter a shout? (did nt the go faster boys have a look at this sort of thing?)
If you can't get the carpet warm enough for long enough, the oil will settle on the next section.
I can say this after owning shit cars with oil leaks for 20+ years :)
I'd happily try and locate a 2nd hand one for you mate, what colour is it?

Whats the point of having a carpet in the boot? To keep the weekly shop comfortable???
May as well chuck it along with the rear seats & belts, Door cards and anything else that is weighing it down :auto:

:D
