Z32 fuel system (ATL/FUELAB/TURBOSMART ETC)

Post by jap.slapper »

Titan Motorsports in the States have helped out with some good advice so far but I'd like a bit of clarification on certain points if possible please

The Z's had the boot floor cut away/braced ready for the ATL fuel cell to be dropped in.
This fuel cell came out of a rally car and I intend to run a fairly similar fuel system setup.

The fuel cell filler plate has 4 ports (shown below):

-6 AN outlet 1
-6 AN outlet 2
-6 AN return
-6 AN vent

the system will run 2 x FACET lifter pumps (-6 AN lines) feeding an external fuel swirl pot with 2 x -6 AN input ports, a -6 AN return fuel input port and a -6 AN return fuel output port + a main fuel output port (-8 AN or -10 AN TBC)

the main fuel line from the swirl pot to the rails will run a FUELAB high flow filter (818 3" element or 828 5" element???) and primary FUELAB 'Prodigy' fuel pump.

**(Question 1: the intention is to achieve 650+ rwhp on 99 octane fuel, therefore what size 'main fuel line' is most suitable -8 AN or -10 AN?)

**(Question 2: the TURBOSMART FPR-800 will sit on the -6 AN 'return' line. This line returns fuel to the fuel cell via the swirl pot, is this correct?)

**(Question 3: is it necessary to have an additional pre-filters between the FACET pumps and the swirl pot?)

thanks
