I need to get a motorsport helmet that is tagged for use on the drag strip, the problem is I don't know which helmet would be comfortable so I need somewhere I can walk into and try several on.
I like the look of Simpson helmets so if any of you have suggestions where there might be somewhere including these please let me know
Thanks

I did alot of work with GPR last year Fil when i was offering racewear to BP members. They have a show area good amount of stock.
Obviously phone them first to make sure they have the sizes you may need.

I'm pretty sure that Simpson helmets don't meet the FIA standards for motorsport as they were essentially designed for drag racing and up until recently they didn't even have EU stamps for road use, having owned an used one they are also tremendously uncomfortable and horrendously loud as theywere only designed to be worn for a matter of seconds down the strip dude, the only place I knew of that held stock wasdemontweeks in north wales and you really need to put one on your head for a while to appreciate how minimal they are and the crap visibilty from them

Thanks, any input appreciated, thats one of the reasons I want to go where I can try several different types to see what I like
It will only be used for drag racing so I'm not bothered about the noise as I only have to put up with it for 9 seconds or so

As Eddy said Fil, Grand Prix Racewear at Silverstone are you best local bet. I am not sure about the legalities mate, but would any of the motorbike lids be suitable? If so, there are loads of bike shops more locally.

Pretty sure they will need to be Snell approved, but sure Fil will be able to find out what he needs for his use of the beast.
