Hi guys, I know some of you are lucky enough to own cars that won't be rusty for some time, and some don't a flying shit if the red devil is lightening your car as we speak.
Unfortunately, my Sierra has had some "work" done recently, and while I splodged and scraped the dreaded P38 filler, I found myself thinking
"There must be something better than this..." I often see documentaries on TV with wizards wielding a smooth easy to move pliable form of loveliness, any ideas anyone? (Let's face it, with a 23 year old car I'm gonna be doing this again!)

ive always classed filler as a cosmetic aid rather than a repair product ,if you cannot get steel back in then some fibre glass first is a good start imo:)

Rob, Filler is evil!!! Please don`t fill the sierra:eek: I know its a pain in the arse, But you would be far better to let in some new metal to those arch bottoms, ( i know you can use a welder;)) then use the filler to skim it off. Or as a quick fix like Jason has already said, chop out all the red stuff and build it back with fibre glass before filling. I can`t remember the name of the filler i have ( I will have a look tommorrow) It is good stuff, as i have found alot do leave pin holes. Just dont forget your reface though rob when you`ve filled It!:thumbs:Good luck mate.
