Engine assembly lubricants

Just asking, If anyone on here has a prefered engine assembly lube, and what is a prefered 1st start up engine oil ?
Reason im asking is that i am just starting to put together a Honda F20 (ex S2000) engine, Its a long story but cheap engine as a spare off bay of e
Anyway now have a block with Dart liners (as damaged bore) so bored, honed, rings gapped, and comp mains and shells etc, Planning on using straight running in oil, unless told reason why not etc ?
Just a lot off yrs have past since last engine build so things may have moved on / or not.
