Guys,

Went to London at the weekend in Emmas Polo and we put the heater on for a bit but it would not go cold at all. I turned it up and down thinking it might help and waited a long time but it stayed warm.

Also on the way back despite being on cold for pretty much the whole journey it continued to blow hot air.

What do you think is the problem ? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Gareth

Do they have motorised flaps to regulate the hot/cold air or are they cables?

Either way, sounds like they're not operating.

Haynes manual?

So I make sure that I answer your query correctly, what you're saying is that it's always blowing hot through Emma's flaps? :)

I dunno, I ask a serious question and all you can do is take the pish !!!!!!! :banghead:
:)

Gerry.....errr how will I know if its a cable or a switch and where would I find this ?

Went in it again tonight and if I leave it on cold then the heat doesnt come on at all, if I adjust it to put some heat on then it sticks as hot despite me turning it down.

If it's reset itself to cold air only, even after the engine's had time to get hot, it's probably an electrical fault.

Haynes manual or 'Polos is Us Innit Like' VDubb forum.

Its more that it sets itself to hot all the time after you move the dial off the cold and moving it back doesnt make any difference.

Will try the forum first and then if no joy will look to get a Haynes manual.

Cheers Gerry.
