Spoiler fitting

Post by Rob S »

Gents,
I've got an MTEC 1 spoiler (the little lip spoiler for non BM nerds) for the boot.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a suitable medium to secure it to the boot? I'm thinking no-more nails may be the wrong way to go.....
It should nt weigh too much, and the lack of top end speed should nt trouble it either!!

Something like a body kit style mastic, something that suits a wide variety of temperatures, would be best. You should be able to buy this sort of stuff from most automotive factors mate.

Do they not just bolt on? My Mtec 2 used the same holes as the standard lip spoiler

My boot is hole free Rob (It's a base model don't forget), knowing my skills with any sort of power tool it's probably best I don't drill my boot.
Mastic it is then (what can possibly go wrong?!)

Jesus!

Do you need supervision with this? I seem to remember that you are useless with this sort of thing and your post, in the first instance, may be some kind of homo cry for help :)

Let me know. Few people match my skill and dexterity with a 7" grinder and cable ties (sit down Bladey)

It's on, and seems fairly secure. And there's still no hole in my boot!

Stu, if you went near my car with a 7" angle grinder, there'd be nothing left mate!
